What Should Be Reported? All instances of sexual violence must be reported. At UNH, sexual violence includes sexual harassment, sexual assault, unwanted sexual contact, sexual misconduct, domestic violence, relationship abuse, dating violence, and stalking (including cyber-stalking).
Who Must Report? UNH Mandatory Reporters – all faculty, staff, coaches, teaching assistants, research assistants, hall directors, and student workers who lead, supervise, and/or mentor other students – are required to report. The ONLY exceptions to this rule is the individual who experiences sexual violence and confidential support service providers at SHARPP, UNH Health Services, and Psychological and Counseling Services (PACS), or other support sexual assault agencies, or ordained pastoral counselors or the Employee Assistance Program.
How Should I Report?
- If someone is in danger, call 911 immediately
- Business Hours 8-5 M-F: Call UNH Title IX Coordinator, Donna Marie Sorrentino at 603-862-2930/603-862-1527 TTY
- If the UNH Title IX Coordinator (or designee) is not immediately available to speak to, OR it is outside the business hours 8-5 M-F, go to link, TitleIX-incident.unh.edu
When Should I Report? Immediately.
[NOTE: all information submitted via this form will go directly to Donna Marie Sorrentino and Chief Paul Dean.]
Unless you report directly in accord with the above, you will not have fulfilled your legal obligations. No other anonymous reporting resources such as Reportit! or LiveSafe app or individual or offices, including your supervisor, may be substituted. You cannot keep incidents of sexual violence confidential even if the person(s) requests that you do so or tells you they will be contacting appropriate authorities and/or confidential support service providers.
